How long have you been a copywriter?
I graduated from Lancaster Uni with a combined BA Hons in English Language and Literature in 2007. I went travelling (I know; cliché), and then I began writing features for a luxury lifestyle magazine. After this, I joined a busy Lancashire marketing agency and spent nine years heading up the PR and Copywriting department before going freelance when I had my little boy in 2017.
Does copywriting have anything to do with trademarking things?
No, sorry. Different sort of copyright.
Do you do SEO?
I’m not an SEO specialist, but if you provide the keywords I can weave them into your web text so it sounds natural and easy to read.
Do you do branding / photography / web design etc?
I don’t. But I have a very talented bunch of friends – like Tattersall Studios, Mckenzie Creative, PixelEngineering and Latitude Studios – so if you need a complete marketing package, I can gather the best people in the biz. Sort of like the A team, but nerdier.
How much do you charge?
Between £30 – £55 an hour.
You can compare my rate to other freelancers’ here if you’re interested.
If you’d rather work on a ‘per project’ basis or otherwise, I’m happy to discuss what we can do within the budget you have in mind.
How do I know if you’re any good?
Don’t take my word for it. Listen to these wise people.
